One-Arm Dumbbell Row

Why This Exercise
Develops unilateral pulling strength while allowing each side of the back to work independently. The single-arm setup also challenges core stability and control, making it a useful combination of strength and coordination. This makes the exercise more than a back builder — you are producing force with one arm while controlling unwanted movement through the rest of your body.
Coaching Cues
- Keep your torso stable and avoid rotating as you pull.
- Drive your elbow back rather than simply pulling the dumbbell upward.
- Keep your shoulder controlled and avoid shrugging toward your ear.
