How It Works
  1. Keep the ball between your feet and play it back and forth using the inside of each foot.
  2. Pass the ball from your right foot to your left foot, then from your left foot back to your right.
  3. Keep the movement quick but controlled, maintaining a consistent rhythm.
Match Situation

Regardless of your position or level, you must be comfortable using quick inside touches. In tight spaces under pressure, these small touches allow you to stay in control, change direction, turn away from pressure and escape the space quickly. Mastering this simple movement gives you the foundation to handle the ball when there is little time or space.

Coaching Cues
  • Use soft, controlled touches to keep the ball within a comfortable distance.
  • Stay light on your feet and maintain a quick, consistent rhythm.
Progression
  • Once you can perform the movement quickly and under control, start moving around while keeping the ball between your feet.
  • Gradually look up as much as possible instead of constantly looking down at the ball, while maintaining control.
